Privacy Policy
Last Last Updated: 25 Mar 2026
1. Overview
Browser Storage ("the extension") is a browser extension that lets you view and manage cookies, local storage, session storage, cache storage, and IndexedDB for the webpage in your current active tab only. This privacy policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is used.
2. Data the extension accesses
- Current tab only: The extension reads cookies, local storage, session storage, cache storage, and IndexedDB only for the site in the tab you have open when you use the extension. This data is used only to display and manage it inside the extension; it is not sent to our servers or any third party for analytics or advertising.
- Browser permissions: The extension requests permissions (cookies, activeTab, tabs, scripting, storage, and access to all URLs) solely to read and modify storage for the tab you are viewing. We do not collect or transmit this website data elsewhere.
3. License validation (premium users)
If you use a premium license, the extension sends your license key to our license provider (Dodo Payments) to validate that your license is active. Activation may also send the name you provide. This is necessary to enable premium features. Please refer to Dodo Payments' own privacy policy for how they handle this data. We do not use this data for marketing or sell it to third parties.
4. What we do not do
- We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data for advertising.
- We do not send cookies or website storage data from your tabs to our servers or to third parties.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking in the extension.
5. Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
6. Contact
If you have questions about this privacy policy or the extension's data practices, please contact us.
